MARGARET COADY Program Manager Margaret Coady spearheads the Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy’s online Corporate Giving Standard (CGS) measurement and benchmarking program. The tool’s primary applications include data collection, reporting, benchmarking, and analysis. Companies have submitted nearly $50 billion in domestic and international giving data since 2001. Since joining CECP in early 2005, Margaret has tripled the number of companies actively involved in benchmarking their giving using the CGS system; 155 companies, including nearly 70 of the Fortune100, currently participate in the initiative. This work has generated an unprecedented storehouse of data, and Margaret authors a growing library of reports for giving professionals based on her analysis. She often lectures for national and international audiences on these publications. In addition, Margaret consults one-on-one with survey respondents to create company-specific giving profiles, which corporate philanthropy professionals find essential in planning giving strategy and presenting findings to senior management. Prior to joining CECP, Margaret worked as a Senior IT Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and played a key technical role in several global custom software implementation projects for Fortune 500 clients. She graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Williams College and currently lives in New York. |
