LARGE COMPANY AWARD

The PNC Financial Services Group
Presented to Chairman & CEO James E. Rohr

Through the impressive PNC Grow Up Great initiative, The PNC Financial Services Group implemented a ten-year, $100 million investment to help prepare children from birth to age five for success in school and life. This innovative early childhood
education effort, with a focus on underserved children, leverages PNC's corporate and philanthropic assets to advocate for a poorly understood but critical economic issue: ensuring children enter school ready to learn.

PNC Grow Up Great is grounded in evidence that children with quality preschool do better in school and life. Through the investment in this program, PNC recognizes that learning in a child's early years is essential for long-term success and PNC has the opportunity to provide leadership, advocacy, funding, tools, and volunteers to help educate parents, caregivers, and communities to prepare children to enter school
ready to learn.

WHY THEY WON

After substantial research and careful strategic planning, PNC selected this bold
signature program that addresses a root issue in society. Through a holistic effort that involves significant public CEO endorsement, strong senior management leadership,
and employee engagement and ownership of this issue, PNC has successfully created a very strong model for corporate philanthropy that has the potential to
achieve national impact.

SMALL COMPANY AWARD

Moody's Corporation
Presented to Chairman & CEO Raymond W. McDaniel, Jr.

Moody’s Corporation is honored for their targeted and sophisticated giving program
that encourages students to develop a passion for mathematics, economics and finance — a focus that is undeniably relevant to Moody's core competencies. In partnership
with the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), Moody's created the Moody's Mega Math Challenge, an Internet-based applied mathematics competition for high school students, accompanied by generous scholarships from the company.

The Moody's Mega Math Challenge helps excite students about employing mathematics to solve real world problems. Moody's selected a project that supports the national sentiment that it is critical for American students to become more engaged in math, understanding that proficiency in mathematics is a cornerstone of success for many careers in the 21st century, and building a talent pipeline for the business.

WHY THEY WON

The Moody's Mega Math Challenge and their other math education-related partnerships are clearly aligned with the company's business strategy. Their philanthropy program
has driven the company's corporate citizenship agenda, unusual for a smaller company, as Moody's sought additional opportunities through internships, a vigorous employee volunteer and board placement efforts, and CEO involvement. Capturing ongoing
feedback from both students and teachers, Moody's has plans to measure its long-
term impact, tracking the percentage of participating students who eventually pursue math and finance-related studies in college.

DIRECTORS' NONPROFIT AWARD

Community Voice Mail
Presented to Executive Director Jennifer Brandon

Nominated by Cisco Systems

Community Voice Mail (CVM) is a truly unique organization that provides free, personalized telecommunications access to poor and homeless people, empowering these individuals by providing reliable and confidential communication access for prospective employers, landlords, medical providers, case managers, and family members. CVM has a measurable impact on a person's ability to emerge from a sometimes desperate situation, providing the critical link to accessing basic human services. After using CVM for an average of seven months, nearly 70% of clients achieve at least one of their goals of finding a job, housing, or healthcare.

This small organization successfully serves 41,000 clients by skillfully leveraging Cisco Systems' financial support and technological capabilities and by partnering with community-based organizations in over 40 cities nationally. In 2003, the Cisco Foundation awarded CVM a $2.5 million grant over five years to help enhance their service capabilities, centralize their voicemail system, and reduce operational costs. Replacing site-based voicemail servers with a scalable, centralized system, and utilizing the expertise of Cisco volunteers, CVM has streamlined costs and now impacts a
much larger client base.

WHY THEY WON

The integrated, mutually advantageous relationship between Cisco and CVM has created
a meaningful solution to an often overlooked fundamental obstacle for the poor and homeless. In aligning shared values, and utilizing the extraordinary opportunity of employing Cisco's technology and other resources, the company has had a transformative impact on the success and scope of this critical service organization.
